Whether you’re an experienced accountant ready for a change, or just starting your career and keen to learn from the best, your journey starts here.

About the Role

Our Kaitaia office is looking for a motivated accounting team member — from trainee to senior level — who has a passion for numbers, a keen eye for detail, and a genuine interest in helping clients achieve success.

This is an opportunity to work in a flexible, engaging environment with a supportive and friendly team.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on your experience, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Prepare and assist with financial statements and tax returns for a wide range of clients.

  • Support and advise business owners in managing and growing their businesses.

  • Analyse financial information to provide meaningful insights and recommendations.

  • Work collaboratively to improve systems and processes for greater efficiency.

  • Build strong client relationships through excellent service and communication.

What We’re Looking For

We’re open-minded about experience — what matters most is attitude, integrity, and a willingness to learn.  Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • A love of numbers and attention to detail.

  • Relevant accounting experience or study towards an accounting qualification (training provided for junior roles).

  • A client-focused mindset and strong communication skills.

  • Confidence with technology and accounting software (we’re a Xero Platinum Partner).

  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

  • Flexible working hours for a balance lifestyle, the office is open Monday to Thursday.

  • Hybrid options – some flexibility to work from home.

  • Competitive salary, based on skills and experience.

  • Professional development and mentoring for trainees through to senior accountants.

  • A supportive, down-to-earth team culture that values community and balance.

If you’re ready to grow your career (and enjoy the relaxed Northland lifestyle), we’d love to hear from you.
